This is my first Kindle book, it seemed cheap to buy although it is only 65 pages long! A Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows your private network to be reached by remote users. This is a guide which shows you how to set up a VPN on a Raspberry Pi so if you’ve a Pi connected to your router, you’ll allow public access to your network. IP addresses are determined, ports are opened for SSH and if your IP address changes your email inbox will indicate the change. This is a review of the book, although I haven’t as yet tested the configuration. My Pi is under the specification required, you need a 16Gb SD card (I only have 8Gb) and two heat sinks. The VPN is set up with several open source software packages, which provide downloads, disk imaging, SMTP mail, port mapping, file transfer, SSH and a VPN GUI. The guide covers everything from setting up your PI for first use and setting up the VPN. It is very straightforward and links are provided for all the downloads.
